We look back on a successful year in which new encounters, matchmaking & innovation were key.
It was an international year, for DDW but also for DDF. You could not only find us in the Netherlands this year, but, together with talented designers, we went to NYCxDesign in New York, to , you could find us at and even in Indonesia with What if lab: Sustainabe Society. And, besides DDW19 ambassadors and , we had two international ambassadors this year: and .
There even was a Royal visit of King Willem-Alexander to Sectie-C. And a little bit later this year, Dutch Design Awards winners & were invited to the royal .
We also had a first this year, as we launched DDW talks, a daily talks programme curated by DDW and partners. Together with key figures from the design field and beyond, we explored various design disciplines, discussed current affairs, looked back at the past and into the future. Keep an eye on the website from 2020 for the full talks videos!

Like the last two years, we looked at the year's trends within the DDW programme. Curious? Click here for an overview of all DDW19 trends.
Together with , an initiative of the designers of Sectie-C, we published the series of articles Designer Dialogues for which designers interviewed other designers.
This year we also launched #heyddw, a series of articles that, like the DDW programme, is bottom up. Are you a designer and do you want us to share your new work with our network in 2020? Use the hashtag #heyddw and maybe you'll see yourself featured on the or in an article on the website soon! Curious about the Heyddw articles of 2019? You can read them here.
And of course the aftermovie of 肛交色情片 2019. In two minutes we will take you along the works of over 2,600 (inter)national designers, spread over 120 locations in Eindhoven. Do you want more? Good news: In the nine Area Recaps you'll find the different Design Areas highlighted again in less than a minute.
We would like to thank all of you for making 2019 the great year that it has been! We hope to share even more stories with you next year, but first:
